Previously a shareholder and director of another process automation company, Rex founded Nemesys in 2008. He has built a strong and reputable team who are committed to delivering high quality process automation and system integration solutions to their customers.
Rex has a high level of technical expertise, as well a strong ability to communicate technical information to all levels.
Rex gains great satisfaction from seeing businesses become more efficient and productive with the introduction of automation technology.
Tony joined Nemesys in 2017. He brings many years of experience in management roles within the process automation industry.
He is responsible for the leadership of engineers, resource planning, project management, quoting, invoicing and customer/supplier relationship management.
His strong interpersonal and leadership skills contribute to the positive working environment and have allowed Nemesys to continue to grow and evolve.
Tony holds a MBA from Henley Business School and a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering and Automation from Massey University.
Brent started his career designing, developing and commissioning electrical and control systems. Dairy manufacturing has always been a large component of his customer base and his automation skills provided the platform to gain exposure to a range of machine and process equipment.
Brent has been with Nemesys since January 2021 and has brought across to the team a wide range of knowledge and the ability to relate to and understand the different tasks, equipment, and people across a range of trades and customers.
He takes pride in the ability to build strong and reputable teams who are committed to delivering high quality process automation and system integration solutions to their customers.
Ruth joined Nemesys in 2010 bringing her previous business experience, organisational and communication skills to enhance the growth of the business.
She is the main driver behind the companies strategic plans, empowering the business to live its values while delivering on its promises.
Ruth enjoys working with the different team dynamics to bring together a range of skills and abilities that are aligned to a common purpose.
Dylan has recently joined Nemesys in the new role of Technical Pricing Engineer. He brings experience and expertise from working in previous roles involving Managing Projects, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Electrical work.
Dylan has a National Certificate in Electrical Engineering and Electronics Technology.His strength is in developing relationships within the Industry that help enhance how Nemesys can best serve our customers through the ability to identify, engineer and price reliable technical solutions.
Mel started at Nemesys in 2017 after gaining experience in a similar role as a Systems Integrator at another company.
Mel’s current role involves developing software to meet the requirements of the customer with a focus on usability and improvement of existing systems
He has a strong personal interest in software development, and enjoys working in a team environment delivering smart, customer focused solutions.
Mel holds a Bachelors of Engineering from Waikato University.
His biggest accomplishment since starting with Nemesys has been getting certified in Ignition.
Blair started with Nemesys in January 2021. Prior to this he was working for an Electrical Engineering and Installation company in Invercargill working as an Automation Engineer with a focus on Safety Critical Systems.
Blair holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology Mechanical, TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification .
Blair’s experience in Machine Safety and Mechanical background allows for a different insight when approaching projects and/or troubleshooting problems.
Having a strong emphasis on ‘big picture’ approach and wholistic project goals, he has the ability to manage projects from concept stage through to completion.
Kate started with Nemesys in February 2019 to help look after the day to day office administration and accounts.
She has extensive knowledge and skills within Office Management that she brings from previous Managing Roles over the years.
We value her exceptional organising skills, who never appears to be ruffled. Kate adds to and loves being part of a tight-knit team with a professional but fun culture.
Ashley started at Nemesys in 2017. His role involves System integration using PLC, HMI, Mechanical and MES systems to provide effective automated solutions.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Engineering (1st Degree Hons) from Waikato University.
His greatest strengths include a keen eye for detail and a strong drive to learn new techniques and keep developing his skills.
His biggest accomplishment since starting with Nemesys has been completing the Synlait Lactoferrin Upgrade Project.
Wayne started his role with Nemesys in 2016. Before that he was a Senior Control Systems Engineer for ABB working in the Waikato Hydro Power scheme.
His current role involves System integration of HMI and PLC's and support of customer automation solutions.
Wayne holds NZCE and AAVA Telecommunications National Certificate in Telecommunications Level 4 from Waikato Institute of Technology.
His greatest strengths are his adaptability and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Tahi has been with Nemesys since 2015. He has previous experience working as an Automation Engineer in the Pharma as well as Oil and Gas industries.
Tahi holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Automation and Control from Massey University in Palmerston North.
His role involves the implementation of process design and providing support over the whole integrated system from documentation to PLC software and HMI. He is focused on ensuring that customer expectations are met and exceeded, and enjoys the teamwork aspect of the work he does at Nemesys.
Craig joins our Nemesys team as our MES Senior/Lead Engineer, the driver behind our MES development. He has a Bachelor of Technology Electronic Engineering from the Durban University of Technology, and Certificate of Competence from MESA.
Craig is passionate about growth in business and people, and has a real strength in aligning technical solutions with business requirements.
Rachel comes to join our Nemesys team, establishing an office in the Taranaki area.
She holds a Bachelor of Chemical and Material Engineering (Second Class First Division) and brings an extensive range of experience and knowledge of Automation Engineering in the Dairy Industry.
Rachels positive and fun, but hard working attitude makes her one of our Engineers that everyone loves to work with.
Shaun moved from Invercargill to Hamilton starting with Nemesys in February 2021 as a Automation Systems Engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology – Electrical (Mechatronics) and has recently achieved Ignition 8.1 Gold Certification.
Shaun brings with him experience in a range of industries including, Aluminium Smelting, Dairy, Meat Processing, Waste Water Treatment, Refrigeration, and Power Distribution.
Kees has joined the Nemesys team in a Grad role, after some experience in manufacturing Pulp and Paper while studying.
He graduated with a Bachelor (with Honours) in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Canterbury. His role with Nemesys includes PLC Coding and HMI Development.
He is looking forward to working with a tight-knit group of people and being challenged with new engineering problems.
David Humphries has joined our Nemesys South team as a Automation Systems Engineers, after several years as a Designer Engineer, and 15 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician prior to transitioning to Engineering.
He holds a BSc Hons. Mechatronics Engineering (1st Class) from the University of Waikato. He also achieved a BSc. Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland.
David is looking forward to developing his automation skills and progressing his career while working with a great team.
Billy joins our Nemesys South team as a Senior Automation Engineer after 10 years of experience working on and running medium-large scale projects at another automation firm.
He completed a Bachelor in Electronics and Computer Systems Engineering at the Massey University Auckland campus, and brings extensive experience in the automation industry.
He is looking forward to getting out there and meeting new people, and learning new skills along the way.
Adriaan joins our team as Trainee Automation Systems Engineer after a short work experience stint where he demonstrated his capabilities and potential to become a respected Engineer at Nemesys.
He holds a Computer Engineering Degree (BEng) from The University of Pretoria (TUKS), South Africa and has previously worked as a systems integrator (software solutions) for an industrial engineering consulting company, specializing in the supply chain sector for mining and telecommunications companies.
Adriaan has shown that he is a keen learner and a dedicated individual.
Daniel Watson has joined our Nemesys South team as a Functional Safety Engineer bringing with him 10+ years of electrical engineering experience working across diverse electrical engineering projects – from wind tunnels, water treatment plants, biomass boilers, through to customised factory machines.
He has a Bachelor of Computing Systems (focused on software development) and a Bachelor of Engineering Technology – Electrical (Mechatronics). The Functional Safety Engineer role adds a new element to his thirst for learning other aspects of engineering to create better solutions for future systems.
Oliver joins our Nemesys Hamilton team in a Graduate role after completing his studies.
He achieved a Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Waikato.
Automation is an area he is very passionate about, and he looks forward to working with the team to tackle challenge projects and contributing to developing innovative solutions.
Gavin joins our Nemesys South team as a Junior Automation Systems Engineer after experience in a variety of roles, including as an electrical apprentice and electricity and gas account management.
He completed a Diploma in Engineering (Electrical) at Otago Polytechnic and is currently completing a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Mechatronics).
He is looking forward to taking what he has studied into the real world, and so far has enjoyed his time with the supportive and friendly South team and looks forward to moving forward with them.
Jackson joins our Nemesys Hamilton team in a Graduate role after recently completing his studies.
He graduated from the University of Waikato after studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics), achieving his degree with Honours.
He is a keen learner, who is always up for a challenge. He looks forward to learning alongside his mentor and developing new skills in different industries as he goes along his journey with Nemesys.
Yunjie (Lisa) Lu joins our Hamilton team as a Trainee Automation Systems Engineer after extensive study at the University of Waikato and University of Canterbury.
She has completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, before going on to complete her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Science, and most recently a Professional Master of Computer Science.
She brings a positive attitude to the team, and looks forward to getting involved with Friday workouts and the team culture while learning from those around her.
Sean joins the Nemesys team as an Automation Systems Engineer following 7 years of working in the Pulp and Paper industry as a Mechanical Engineer.
He studied at the University of Auckland, where he achieved a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours.
He is looking forward to gaining experience working across a wide range of industries and working in a well-oiled team.
